Cinco de Smoko

The Holiday I Didn’t Know I Needed 🎉💨🌮

Alright y’all, gather ‘round the rolling tray, 'cause I gotta tell you about my new favorite holiday: Cinco de Smoko. You ever have one of those days where two random things collide in the universe and create something so chill, so perfect, it feels like it was destined to exist? That’s this.

So picture this: Last Year on May 5th. I'm vibin', music's on, and I’m halfway through stuffing a Cookies Vibes 1G Blue Cali when I realize—wait a sec, ain’t it Cinco de Mayo today? I reach for a Chicken Taco, then it hits me like a smooth inhale from a Vibes Cali… it’s also Taco Tuesday. And that’s when the universe whispered to me… Cinco. de. Smoko.

Now if you’re wondering, “Yo drodie, what the heck is Cinco de Smoko?” lemme break it down real easy:

  • Cinco de Mayo is this epic Mexican holiday that celebrates Mexico's win over French forces at the Battle of Puebla. It’s all about pride, resistance, and celebration. 🇲🇽

  • Smoko is this Aussie slang word I stumbled on that basically means a quick break—usually to light one up, take a breather, and vibe out. 🔥

Put ‘em together and boom—Cinco de Smoko is born. A hybrid holiday where you light up, load up on tacos, and vibe like the chilled-out legend you are. It’s like if Cheech and Chong hosted a history class and turned it into a backyard party with reggae, salsa, and guac.

And no, it’s not official. You won’t find it in your calendar (yet), but trust me—it’s real in the hearts of stoners, snackers, and siesta-lovers everywhere.

Here’s how I celebrated last year:

  • I stuffed a couple Vibes cones, the 1.25 gram ones, and some 1G Cali’s and a Big ol Cubano ya know the stuff n’ puff specials 😮‍💨)

  • Hit up my favorite Mexican Spot For some Chicken Tacos

  • Played some cumbia and reggae

  • Took a proper smoko at the beach

  • Reflected on how stoner culture brings people together in the most unexpected ways

Cinco de Smoko isn’t just a goofy name. We really Catch A Vibe with it.

And it’s a reminder that it’s okay to slow down, enjoy your culture, your cannabis, and your community.

So Get ready for May 5th, I want you to remember this: light one, pass it, and say it loud with me—Happy Cinco de Smoko, baby!

🌮💨🔥
Stay lifted,
drodie
